Why track what is left?
The last few words are the hardest because you no longer know where to look. Seeing that two seven-letter words starting with one letter are still missing turns a vague search into a small, solvable one. It is the same idea as the letter grid on the hints page, but based on your own list.

What is Spelling Bee Buddy?
Spelling Bee Buddy is the New York Times' own companion tool for subscribers. It compares the words you found with the answer list and shows what is left. BeeHints' word tracker does the same job for free and is not affiliated with it.
How do I use the word tracker?
Copy the words you have found from the game, paste them in the box and press Check my words. The tracker counts your points and rank and shows how many words are left for each first letter, length and two-letter start.
Does the tracker show the answers?
No. It only shows counts of the words you are missing, never the words themselves. If you want the answers, they are on a separate page.
Is my list saved?
Yes, in this browser for today's puzzle, so you can come back after a break and add more words. Nothing is sent to our servers.
